TWGA Mission:
To enjoy one of Minneapolis' oldest and scenic golf courses while building friendships in a competitive spirit. And to preserve a part of history at Theodore Wirth Golf Course founded in 1916. For it is the oldest Public Gold Course west of the Mississippi River.
Theodore Wirth himself ( 1863-1949) was instrumental in designing the Minneapolis system of parks. Swiss born - was regarded as the "Dean of the local parks movement in America". TWGA honors his contributions and considers Theodore Wirth Park and golf course a special place for all to enjoy varying activities in his memory.
